Ride With Us to Remember: WDOR Memorial Ride on Sunday Nov. 15

Join CMABS for the 2nd Annual World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims Memorial Ride, Sunday, November 15

Every year, the third Sunday in November is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in the U.S. (WDOR). On that day, communities around the world honor people killed and injured on their streets. On Sunday, November 15, Costa Mesa will join them. This year’s theme is “Invest in Safety, Not Speed,” and we couldn’t agree more.

CMABS invites you to a memorial ride to honor our neighbors whose lives were cut short or changed forever by traffic violence, and to call for streets where everyone gets home safely.

  • 2:00pm: Gathering at Costa Mesa City Hall, 77 Fair Drive. We’ll hear from a few speakers and hold a moment of silence.

  • 2:30pm: We’ll head out on an easy, social-paced 6-7 mile loop through Costa Mesa, led by volunteer ride marshals. Riders of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

  • ~4:00pm: Reception at Fairview Community Church, 2525 Fairview Road. Tacos and refreshments are on us when we finish.

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO RSVP BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13

If you can’t make the ride, you’re still welcome to join us at City Hall or at the reception, but please still fill out an RSVP form.

Want to help? We’re looking for ride marshals and a few reception helpers. Email jenn@cmabs.org to volunteer.

If you’ve lost someone to traffic violence and would like them remembered by name, please email jenn@cmabs.org and let us know. We’ll treat it with care.

See you on the 15th.
